Services

As a writer and editor with a wide range of experience, I am able to provide a variety of writing and editing services.

For small projects, there is a minimum charge of one hour.  After the first hour, charges are rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. Rates vary. See specific service pages or contact me to discuss your project for a bid.

Academic Application Essays

This service includes undergraduate application essays, graduate school letters of intent, and medical school personal statements. I can be involved as a writing coach, a proofreader, or a developmental editor.

Fiction Editing and Developmental Critique

Speculative fiction is my primary and preferred genre (this includes fantasy, dark fiction/horror, science fiction). I have worked with fiction writers in all stages of their careers to help them improve their work (short, novella, and novel length) and hone their craft. I have worked with middle grade, young adult, and adult speculative fiction.

General Writing and Editing

This includes all the general writing and editing that doesn’t fit under other defined categories. It includes basic business communications (letters of recommendation, meeting minutes, and memos), blog posts, marketing content, academic papers, procedure manuals, and website content.

Grant Writing and Editing

This service focuses on the writing and/or editing of your grant narrative. As there are thousands of grants all focused on very specific fields and topics, I do not search for or identify grants, but I will coach you or work with you to develop your narrative.

Nonfiction Writing and Editing

These services include how to instructions and technical guides (from single page guides to full manuals), non-fiction essays and essay collections, academic papers, and website content.

Procedure and Process Instructions and Manuals

This service includes updating existing text and associated materials for processes or procedures, or creating all new materials. I can be hired for individual processes or procedures, or for a complete manual. This service includes the development of a clear style guide to ensure all future revisions or additions keep the same look; this ensures ease of use and a professional end product. Content is written to suits the target audience for maximum clarity and efficiency.

Resumes and Curriculum Vitae (CV)

This service provides revision of an existing resume, or CV or assembly of an entirely new resume or CV from scratch. I have worked with people who have a long career history, are changing careers, or are just starting out. For those who are new to the workforce or changing careers, I am also happy to review or assist in the construction or revision of your LinkedIn profile.

Other Services

There are a variety of other services available from The Write Mann. These include, but are not limited to the construction or revision of training materials (including videos, text guidelines or booklets, and quizzes); social media marketing content (including blog posts, announcements, Facebook events, graphic elements such as posters or flyers, and video elements such as Shorts and Reels); general website content management with or without content revision; and video scripting (long form, short form, entertainment or training).
